I don't have plans for that exact bat house just the one that I linked to. I've also heard that it's hard to attract bats to a bat house, but once they're there they'll stay. A friend of mine said he read somewhere that if you put guano (bat poop) in the bat house that can attract them. I wouldn't think that the slot size would matter too much, but I feel like the location is key (somewhere that's high, gets some sun, is out of the wind, and is hard for predators to reach). I don't think I would want to put one on my house, but I would on a barn, tree, or pole. I plan on building one once I move farther out in the country. Let me know how yours works when you put it up.

Hi, do you have the design plans for the bat house shown on your site? It looks very nice! I built a bat house years ago, still sitting in my garage, waiting to be installed. I'm not sure I built mine correctly. Two things I heard about bats (let me know if you heard this too) is they are hard to attract if the bat house isn't build well. The first important point I heard is the slots in the bat house where the bat would climb in and sleep during the day need to be perfect width or should I say very desirable distance between each other or the bat won't want to nest. The spacing between the slots can't be too narrow or too wide. Also, the second recommendation I heard is where the bat house is installed is extremely, extremely important. It can't be too low to the ground to attract predators like cats etc. and needs a certain amount of sun exposure because I heard bats like to stay warm. I forgot which direction to mount the bat house to the sun. I need to check the internet. I think bats like afternoon sun so perhaps a southwest exposure, but I need to check to verify. I heard bats also prefer to be at least 15-20 feet from the ground to avoid predators so that means the bat house should be mounted to a tree or high on the house. Any thoughts or comments?
